The US Department of Energy (DOE) will hold its first Science for Our Nation’s Energy Future: Energy Frontier Research Centres Summit & Forum from May 25 through 27 in Washington D.C. The summit will bring together scientists and energy policy leaders to explore the challenges and opportunities in applying the US’ scientific and technical resources to critical energy needs. It will also highlight early successes of the DOE’s Energy Frontier Research Centres and promote collaboration across the national energy enterprise

Carbon Nation is a terrific documentary that is opening today for one week in: Portland, OR – Regal Fox Tower Stadium Seattle, WA – SIFF Cinema And it is opening next Friday for one week  in San Francisco, at the Landmark Opera Plaza Cinema .  The DVD will be out next month. You can see the trailer — which I’m not entirely thrilled with — here: Yes, this is “a climate change solutions movie [that doesn't even care if you believe in climate change],” which I suppose is okay for marketing purposes.
