Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) are often referred to as gas-guzzlers. Largely speaking, SUVs do consume considerately more fuel than a smaller vehicle, such as a car. SUVs are vastly popular across the United States and are supported due to the more spacious way in which the country has been laid out. However, cities and countries such as those in Europe do not have the space for large vehicles and are often lacking love for SUVs as well. In Europe, it is not uncommon to come across so-called low emission zones

eco friendly sports 300x225 Eco Friendly SportsThe nice thing about sports is that they are fun, and most of them are eco friendly. When it comes down to it, there are not too many sports that are going to harm the planet while you are playing. That being said, there are some that you should stay away from. Generally speaking, every sport can be seen as eco friendly. Take for instance soccer. What about soccer is going to harm the planet? Nothing! And this is a good thing since it is one of the most popular games in the world.’

The time that you need to think “eco friendly” is when you are buying sports equipment. Remember, every piece of equipment can be found in an eco friendly form if you keep an open mind and are willing to spend just a little bit more money in some cases. For instance, you will find everything from reusable water bottles to organic clothing and much more. If you are interested in eco friendly sports equipment you should begin your search online. You may find a few items at a local sporting goods store, but the selection is not going to be that great. The good thing is that this is bound to change in the future.

You should be thinking eco friendly thoughts at all times, including when you are preparing to play sports. Most sports are eco friendly, and if you buy the proper equipment you can make sure you are doing your part in keeping things that way.
